The image whispers ‘innocence’, ‘intimacy’ and ‘adventure’. It’s funny that you wrote “no apps then”. When I looked at the main photo my mind immediately turned to all the things she doesn’t have – no BlackBerry in her handbag as a constant disctraction, no way of tweeting this photo around the world within seconds, no way of even viewing the photograph herself for a period of days, no GPS telling her where to go next and which street to turn down to get there. Yet, travelling without these things, I feel she had so much more than we do today.

I love her colors. And speaking of technology’s intrusions, when I got to Paris my smartphone (Italian Sim card and no internet) broke and it was the BEST thing: getting lost and being unreacheable…priceless…

Miti, I was supposed to be part of the whole NaNoWriMo but I got all stressed out about it. You know I have my show coming up in December which comes right after what could have otherwise been a literary-rich November. I’ll be ready for it next year though!
Your mom looks great by the way. And it’s nice to see an authentic retro-photo for a change.

You are a writer as well? I did not know! I can see it: a novel illustrated with your poignant girls.
Totally understandable that, with the solo show, you have plenty on your plate…can’t wait to hear about it next year!
You should join NaBloPoMo thoough, you are already so good at posting everyday, might as well win some prizes;)
And yes…it is an authenthic retro photo! The dark figures in the background seem painted…
